VESTAL, N.Y. — The tour bus for Independent Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made a stop at the Binghamton University campus on Thursday.

Kennedy’s campaign hopes to collect 45,000 votes in 45 days for him to appear on the Presidential ballot in New York State in November.

Members of the campaign team stated that this marks the beginning of a weekend-long campaign to garner support from college students and young voters across the Southern Tier region.

“I think that a lot of younger voters are sort of disenchanted with our choices,” said Team Kennedy State Director for North Carolina, Seara Foley. “We want to reach out to them and let them know that we’re doing something radically different here by getting an independent candidate on the ballot.”

The bus is scheduled to visit SUNY Broome on Friday and Kirkwood on Saturday, remaining present from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
