Cameron Oliver, 23, of Ithaca as been arrested after nearly a year, following an incident that occurred in a Walmart in Cortlandville in May of 2023.

During the initial arrest and investigation in May of last year, Oliver was accused of stealing and damaging items from Walmart. Upon his initial arrest, he provided the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office with false identification, which was  discovered after he was processed and released.

The incident occurred on May 5, 2023 and a warrant was issued on May 12, 2023 for him out of the Town of Cortlandville and City of Cortland Courts. These warrants led to his arrest on Tuesday, April 9. 

He was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony; criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor; falsifying business records in the first degree, a felony; criminal impersonation in the second degree, a misdemeanor; forgery in the third degree, a misdemeanor; and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree. 

Oliver was arraigned at the Cortlandville Town Court on April 10 and was released on his own recognizance. Oliver is scheduled for City of Cortland Court on April 17 and in the Town of Cortlandville Court on April 17.
