BURDETT, N.Y. — Steven C. Mayo, a 45-year-old resident of Burdett, New York, was sentenced to two years in prison for the sale of methamphetamine in Schuyler County. The sentencing was carried out on March 28 by Judge Matthew C. Hayden, with Mayo also being placed under one year of post-release supervision.

According to the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office, Mayo pleaded guilty to the criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, which is categorized as a Class D felony. The conviction stems from an investigation by the New York State Police, targeting distribution of methamphetamine within the county.

In addition to the prison term, Mayo has been ordered to pay $550 in restitution and has forfeited $3,855 that is believed to be linked to the drug sales.
